T&T Group will launch energy storage battery products to the market in 2026
Within the framework of the Vietnam - China - ASEAN International Energy Exhibition and Forum 2025, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, Chairman of T&T Energy, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Energy Association shared about the joint venture T&T Group - Cospowers (China) will launch energy storage batteries in 2026. This is considered a strategic direction of T&T Group to affirm its pioneering position in applying new solutions for energy, while anticipating the need for integrated installation of storage batteries for renewable energy projects in Vietnam in the coming time.

Pioneering in applying technology in green energy development
In the context that Vietnam and other countries in the world have been strongly developing renewable energy sources, investing in battery storage systems is necessary; both contributing to ensuring energy security and sustainable development of the country, and promoting and opening a "new door" for the export market of storage batteries to countries with rich potential. In Vietnam, the importance and necessity of energy storage batteries have been affirmed in the National Power Development Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 (Power Plan VIII) adjusted on April 15, 2025, in which it is stipulated that the development of concentrated solar power must be combined with the installation of storage batteries at a minimum rate of 10% of capacity and integrated within 2 hours.
Actively implementing the ASEAN - China regional cooperation model
The cooperation with Cospowers is one of the typical examples showing T&T Group's pioneering position in developing the green and clean energy industry in Vietnam. It is also a testament to one of the very few domestic enterprises that have been actively implementing the ASEAN - China regional cooperation model. Currently, T&T Group is also working with strategic partners such as the general contractor GEDI of China Energy Group, equipment suppliers Goldwind, Envision, etc. In particular, T&T Group has proactively expanded its investment in the region, with the first step being the Savan 1 wind power project (Savanakhet province, Laos) with a capacity of 495 MW to sell electricity to Vietnam. This is considered the largest onshore wind power project that the Group has invested in to date, marking the "cross-border" energy investment strategy and demonstrating T&T Group's capacity in implementing large-scale projects in the international market. T&T Group also aims to complete phase 1 of the project (capacity of 300 MW) in 2025; and complete phase 2 (capacity of 195 MW) in 2027. In addition, T&T Group also plans to expand the scale of investment in energy projects in Laos towards exporting electricity to Vietnam and some countries in the region. In the long term, businessman Do Quang Hien's business aims to connect to the power grid and export clean electricity in the ASEAN energy community.
The mark of Vietnam's leading energy developer
T&T Group's journey is not only a story of investment in energy, but also a testament to the aspiration of a private enterprise in the process of accompanying the country in developing sustainable energy. T&T Group aims to reach a total power generation capacity of 16,000 - 20,000 MW by 2035, accounting for about 10% of Vietnam's power system capacity, most of which is from clean energy sources such as solar power, wind power, LNG power, biomass power and green hydrogen/ammonia, aiming towards the common goal of bringing Vietnam to net zero emissions by 2050. To date, T&T Group has completed the construction and put into operation 10 solar and wind power projects with a total installed capacity and connection to the national grid of 877 MW. T&T Group is also in a joint venture with KOGAS, KOSPO, HANWHA (Korea) to implement the Hai Lang LNG gas power project - Phase 1 in Quang Tri with a capacity of 1,500 MW, investment capital of about 2.5 billion USD. With the Savan 1 project (Laos) deployed at the end of 2024, T&T Group has invested in green energy projects with a total cumulative capacity of more than 2,800 MW.
